The National Park Service announced on Wednesday, March 25, more details about the reopening of Grand Canyon National Park’s fire-affected North Rim.
All paved roadways on the North Rim will reopen May 15, according to the Park Service. The entirety of the North Kaibab Trail — a popular route for rim-to-rim hikers, runners and backpackers — will reopen to foot traffic on the same day, along with the Cottonwood Campground located roughly 7 miles below the rim.
