Jury convicts Flagstaff sex sting defendant on luring charge

A man arrested in an online sex sting last year who opted to take his case to trial was found guilty by a Coconino County Superior Court jury Tuesday, March 24.

Mrbill Decker (pronounced “Mister Bill,” according to prior statements by his attorney) was charged with one count of luring a minor for sexual exploitation, a Class 3 felony, in May 2025. Decker’s arrest and indictment came after he communicated with an undercover law enforcement officer posing as a minor.
