The City of Flagstaff, in partnership with Flagstaff High School, the City of Flagstaff Indigenous Commission and Native Americans for Community Action (NACA), will host the Community Social Powwow: Abalone Shell Mountain Kinship Gathering on April 19.
Taking place at FHS (400 W. Elm Ave.), the event will be held in collaboration with the FHS Contest Powwow on April 17 and 18. The Community Social Powwow will feature an educational session from 9:30 to 11 a.m., a Gourd Dance from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the Social Powwow from 1:30 to 5 p.m.
