The Coconino National Forest is planning to conduct a prescribed fire project near Stoneman Lake on Thursday due to the favorable weather conditions.
Aimed at reducing the risk of wildfire, the Upper Beaver Creek project is located 18 miles northwest of Clints Well and south of Stoneman Lake. The 500 acres will include both a broadcast and maintenance burn.
