The Arizona Governor’s Office of Resiliency and Office of Tribal Relations announced Monday that the State of Arizona, Navajo Nation and Hopi Tribe were the recipients of a nearly $100,000 grant from the Resilient Energy Economies (REE) initiative.
The grant will go toward a joint research project called Enhancing Four Corners Economic Resilience and Tribal Sovereignty to support coal-impacted communities in the Four Corners region. The project aims to create new opportunities for job creation and revenue growth in the region.
