The spring football season is always an opportunity for guys old and new to learn a program’s system and get to know everyone on the team before playing games in the fall. A few new Lumberjacks took the chance to do that in advance.
Quarterback Donivan Dixon, kicker Francisco Orduno Jr. and tight end Gabe Sema opted to come to campus early, forgoing the end of their senior year in high school to get a head start at NAU. Dixon and Orduno Jr. come from Arizona high schools and have had the idea of coming to college early for a while.
