In just six months, Trump is making waves, and not just in the White House swimming pool! His second administration is reportedly achieving milestones that, in his first term, took four long years. From impressively securing the U.S.-Mexico border to boosting blue-collar wages faster than we can say “economy,” it looks like Trump is taking his “Make America Great Again” mantra to heart—this time, with added details like fixing pesky showerheads.
The administration has dealt with various pressing issues and even put an end to that shoe removal policy many of us have abhorred at airports. After all, why must everyone be subjected to potential foot odor while heading to their next vacation? With changes to foreign aid and efforts to restore merit-based hiring practices, it’s clear Trump is targeting some longstanding policies, shaking things up and—dare I say—poking a few political beehives.
It seems like every day brings a new policy that either makes you cheer or roll your eyes. So here’s a thought: if politicians actually did what they campaigned on, how much easier would our debates be? With all of this buzz about actual accomplishments, what’s your take on what really matters in this administration—policy changes or just the spectacle?
