Highway 89A reopens, communities downgraded to Ready status as Pocket Fire holds at 76% containment

With the Pocket Fire reaching 76% containment over the weekend, multiple safety precautions have been reduced or ended.

On Monday morning, the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office downgraded Oak Creek Canyon to READY status after spending nearly three weeks at SET. The decision was made in conjunction with the U.S. Forest Service. The communities of Seven Canyons and Enchantment Resort were also downgraded to READY status on Monday by the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.
