The Flagstaff Little League (FLL) All-Star Majors won their first two games at the Arizona State Little League Tournament at Ora Mae Harn District Park last week before being sent to the elimination bracket on Saturday night. The District 1 (Northern Arizona) champions reached the quarterfinal round with wins against Blythe and Casa Grande before losing to Chandler National.
Saturday’s loss to the District 13 (Tempe and Chandler) champion snapped a seven-game winning streak dating back to the start of the district tournament held in Flagstaff. The All-Star Majors were held to just one hit in the key matchup: a double by Riley Bruce in the third inning.
