Meet Maria, a beautiful gray tabby whose story is one of resilience, love, and second chances. About a month ago, Maria arrived at High Country Humane after being found injured in Valle, unable to use her back legs. Even through her pain, she never stopped caring for the tiny kitten she was found with.
X-rays revealed that Maria had a dislocated femur. Thanks to the generosity of our community, she received the Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery she desperately needed. After weeks of healing and lots of love from our team, Maria is finally ready for the happiest chapter of her journey: finding a forever home.
