A vintage clip of Anthony Anderson’s 2003 interview with Lindsay Lohan is making waves again, and not for the right reasons. Anderson, then 33, made a cringe-worthy joke about liking ‘em young, referring to the 17-year-old Lohan. Yikes! Sure, he might have been trying to be funny, but that kind of humor doesn’t land well after a decade, does it? Now, the actor’s representative says he regrets the comments and meant them to be lighthearted, not disrespectful. Attempting to laugh it off ain’t quite cutting it this time!
This isn’t the first time the actor has found himself in hot water, either. He’s faced previous allegations of inappropriate behavior, making this incident feel all the more uncomfortable. Anderson’s apology might be a step in the right direction, but it raises questions about accountability and the weight of words. In the celebrity world, where even an old joke can come back to haunt you, one has to wonder—do jokes about age differences belong in the past? People love to reminisce, but do they ever look back with regret?
So, what do you think? Are celebrities just trying to reach us with humor, or should they be held to a higher standard? Was Anderson right to joke about Lohan back then, or should that have been a no-go from the start? Let’s hear your thoughts!
