A shooting incident near the Northgate Transit Center has rattled the morning routine of commuters and residents alike. Around 7:40 a.m. this past Monday, a 48-year-old man was shot in the head by one of two suspects, who didn’t seem to mind about packs of people bustling around. Talk about bad coffee shop etiquette! The victim was rushed to Harborview Medical Center and remains in critical condition.
Seattle Police Department is currently on the lookout for the shooters, who made a hasty retreat on foot—definitely not the subway escape plan everyone hopes for. With officers searching the area, it’s a good time to rethink any morning plans that involve traveling through that neck of the woods. Imagine stopping by for your morning caffeine fix and having to double as a detective!
It’s a stark reminder of the unpredictability in our daily lives, especially in places where you shouldn’t need to worry about crime. As we keep our fingers crossed for the victim’s recovery and hope the police have a successful operation, it raises vital questions. How safe do you feel when you’re out and about in your neighborhood? Share your thoughts; maybe they’ll keep your coffee hot while we chit-chat!
