Picture this: You’re out for a lovely day at Dash Point State Park with your family, enjoying nature, when suddenly, you stumble upon a bright green box tied with a cheerful yellow string. Sounds like the start of a fairytale, right? Well, that’s exactly where Kevin Ewing’s Father’s Day outing took a dark turn. Inside that gift-wrapped treasure was a severed human toe! Talk about a macabre surprise!
Ewing first thought it might be some funky prayer bundle, but once he made the gruesome discovery, his plans for a day in the park were likely shattered. Alongside the toe, the box contained sage, lavender, and—wait for it—a few other strange items, including burned grass and tobacco. A former Christmas gift? A bizarre art installation? Who knows, but it’s certainly more than he bargained for on a sunny Sunday!
Now, authorities from the Washington State Patrol are investigating this bizarre case, trying to determine if the toe belongs to anyone reported missing. Meanwhile, can you imagine the stories that will be passed around about the “gift” left in the park? It really does make you wonder: what’s the wildest thing you’ve ever found while out in nature? Let’s hope it’s more pleasant than a severed body part!
