Grand Canyon National Park announced increased water restrictions beginning Saturday, April 11, after yet more breaks in the Transcanyon Waterline left the South Rim with a limited and dwindling supply of drinking water.
Overnight lodging at the park will continue to operate, albeit at about half its normal capacity. The National Park Service had already shut off water at the South Rim’s campgrounds following a prior break on March 30.
