Australian pop trio Blusher has made quite an impression with their shimmering cover of Kesha’s smash hit “Your Love Is My Drug” on triple j’s Like A Version. Comprised of Miranda Ward, Jade Ingvarson-Favretto, and Lauren Coutts, this Melbourne-based group has put their personal stamp on the 2010 classic, making it not just a performance, but an experience. With layered harmonies and live drums, their rendition replaces the sharp electro-pop edges of the original with a dreamy, glittering vibe. Seriously, it’s like a fairy tale where you’re invited to a party in a magical land!
Their performance couldn’t come at a better time, coinciding with the release of Blusher’s second EP, Racer. Talk about a double whammy! During the broadcast, not only did they breathe new life into a beloved tune, but they also showcased their own track “Last Man Standing.” Meanwhile, Kesha is busy planning her own return to Australia for her T–ts Out Tour in 2026. But wait, there’s a twist – Sydney didn’t make the cut on her tour schedule! Can you say drama?

(Period) marking a new chapter as an independent artist, it’s clear both artists are here to remind us why we fell in love with pop music in the first place. So, what’s next for Blusher? Will they continue to sprinkle their magic across the charts? It’s certainly a thrilling time for fans of pop music, and we’re here for it!
What do you think? If you had a chance to cover any pop classic, which song would you choose and why?
