In a head-turning turn of events, South Seattle finds itself buzzing about a string of arson fires that have lit up the area—or not so brightly, depending on your viewpoint. With four out of five fires linked to intentional acts, it seems someone’s taking “lighting up the night” to a whole new level. From a residential construction site to a funeral home, the suspect—described as a black male in a blue mask—has left his mark with over $300,000 in damages. Talk about a hefty price tag for a little late-night mischief!
Now, police have released images of the suspect, and it’s clear they’re not taking this lightly. Searching for justice, they’ve even enlisted the help of the Arson Alarm Foundation, which is offering a $10,000 reward for tips that lead to an arrest. If this fiery fiasco doesn’t get the neighborhood riled up to take action, what will? This could be the time for our community to step up!
With summer heating up and tensions flaring, one can’t help but wonder why someone would target a funeral home of all places—maybe they were just trying to poke a stick at the city’s latest decor trends? Regardless, with so much up in flames, it’s probably the worst time for those “we love to grill” backyard barbecue invitations to be sent out. Let’s just say, residents are eager for answers, and they want this firebug stopped! What do you think it’ll take to finally catch this arsonist in action?
