Idaho Superintendent of Public Instruction Debbie Critchfield spoke Wednesday evening at the Idaho Falls City Club about the future of education in Idaho.
During her talk, Critchfield listed four key items in a strategic plan that the Idaho Department of Education saw as vital for Idaho’s K-12 students to empower them for the future, including ensuring students can read at grade level and do math by the third grade, preparing students for life, college and careers, modernizing educational funding structure and attracting and retaining teachers and leaders in Idaho.
