What do you get when you mix food delivery with a touch of wild behavior? A DoorDash driver in Lynnwood, that’s what! This driver allegedly decided to take a joyride while high on meth, crashing his car into a tree and then taking things to another level by lighting the vehicle on fire. As if crash and burn weren’t enough, he also attempted to flee the scene, giving law enforcement quite the chase. You’ve got to wonder what’s going through someone’s mind when they think setting their car ablaze is a good idea.
The Lynnwood Police Department swooped in to extinguish the flames—thanks to Officer Hydara wielding a fire extinguisher—and managed to track the suspect down as he hid under a parked car. This delivery disaster didn’t just leave the food crispy; it ended with a long list of charges including second-degree arson, DUI, and hit and run. Now that’s a delivery experience few would forget.
So, what’s the lesson here? Maybe think twice before mixing substances with driving or the responsibilities that come with being a delivery driver. Or better yet, would you still order food from a restaurant after hearing a story like this? Seems like some deliveries come with more drama than others!
