The Bear Jaw Interagency Fire and Fuels Crew, a wildland fire initial attack and fuels management team jointly funded by the Highlands Fire District and Pinewood Fire Department, is no more.
The dissolution of the crew was announced by both departments at the beginning of March. On Wednesday, March 25, the Highlands Fire District hosted a community meeting at Station 23 in Mountainaire to address the loss.
