Flagstaff to host first city council primary in 12 years; mayor’s race uncontested as Barotz again drops bid

Eight prospective candidates for Flagstaff’s City Council election in November submitted enough signatures to qualify for the ballot ahead of the filing deadline on Monday, March 23.

Lori Matthews, C.J. Lucke, Khara House, Austin Aslan, Drew Stanley, Nancy Baca, Patty Hansen and Dennis Givens all delivered nominating petitions to the city clerk with more than the required 1,000 voter signatures.
