In a twist straight out of a comedy sketch, Jonathan Patrick Winslow, a 57-year-old Florida man, turned his birthday celebration into a police chase after stealing a Conch Tour Train in Key West. Imagine the shock of his two random passengers as they found themselves riding along with a man who was not only joyriding but also toting a meth pipe in his pocket. Now that’s one way to mark a milestone!
The misadventure kicked off shortly before noon when Winslow left his Kia running in the parking lot with rock music blasting—because nothing says “I’m about to do something wild” quite like a soundtrack. He told an employee he used to work for the tour company, secured the trolley, and zoomed away before anyone could react. Thankfully, GPS tracking quickly brought police to the scene to put a halt to Winslow’s birthday joyride.
When stopped, he still had the gall to say he just “borrowed” the train. As if that’s an appropriate birthday present! Winslow found himself facing charges for burglary and grand theft auto while enjoying an unexpected stay in jail, proving that sometimes life can throw surprises that no party planner could prepare for.
