LOCAL ROUNDUP: Northland Prep softball puts up 21 runs in win against Pinon

Erupting for 10 runs in the first inning and adding on at least two in every inning that followed, the No. 10 Northland Prep Spartans softball team handed the No. 29 Pinon Eagles a 21-11 loss on Tuesday at Continental Park.

Northland Prep (5-1, 2-0 2A North) ended the home game in five innings due to the run rule, with a five-run rally by Pinon (1-6, 0-3 2A North) in the final inning falling short of extending the game.
