NAU ROUNDUP: Wesche, Kelsey named MPSF diver, diving coach of the year

The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) has announced its annual awards. Northern Arizona University senior Grace Wesche was named MPSF Diver of the Year, while Lumberjacks head diving coach Nikki Kelsey was named MPSF Diving Coach of the Year.

Wesche was the only MPSF female diver to compete at this year’s NCAA meet, placing 21st on the 3-meter board for the highest NCAA finish in program history for an NAU diver. Wesche placed fourth on the 3-meter and ninth on the 1-meter at the NCAA Zone E Championships to qualify for nationals in both events. At the NCAA championships, only one Zone E diver placed higher than her on the 3-meter.
