In a jaw-dropping turn of events, NBA player Marcus Morris is facing serious legal trouble after allegedly swiping over $250,000 from two Las Vegas casinos. This isn’t just a case of bad luck at the tables; it appears Morris pulled off a double whammy, getting $115,000 from the MGM Grand with bad checks and then another $150,000 at the Wynn Las Vegas all in the span of a month. Clearly, he took “cash out” to a whole new level, hoping for a card shark’s luck instead of the cards he ended up dealing himself.
The situation escalated quickly when Morris was arrested at the airport in Florida, where he was waiting to find out if he’d be extradited back to Nevada. Even his attorneys tried to plead for his release, arguing he was working on paying off his debts, but a judge was having none of it. When it comes to courts and casinos, it seems that Morris may have miscalculated a gamble that didn’t quite pay off. One thing’s for sure, it’s going to take a lot more than a three-point shot to bounce back from this.
