The College Market hosts a Staged Reading of POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive by Selina Fillinger. The Satire opened three years ago on Broadway and starred Julianne Hough, Julie White, and Vanessa Williams. The show centers around a PR nightmare for the White House and the seven women trying to keep the President out of trouble. The Washington Post theatre critic Peter Marks compared the show to that of a mix between Saturday Night Live and Veep, while the New York Times theatre critic, Jesse Green, wrote: “POTUS’ lets us experience the double-bind of exceptional women unmediated by the men who depend on their complicity.”
