Prescott stops last-inning Coconino rally to pick up season sweep

A seventh-inning Coconino offensive surge was not enough on Thursday as the Prescott Badgers swept the regular-season series and carried six innings of stout pitching and defense to defeat the Panthers, 6-5, at Coconino High School.

Down 6-3 in the bottom of the seventh, Coconino worked to get the winning run on base. Prescott sophomore Madison Ballou came in relief and only needed one pitch to get the final out of the game and keep the Badgers perfect in region play.
