Talk about a tough crowd! Tom Sandoval took to the stage on America’s Got Talent with his band, The Most Extras, hoping for a big win. Instead, he got Simon Cowell serving up what can only be described as some serious “Mr. Nasty” vibes. After a jazz-rock rendition of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” Cowell made his opinion crystal clear by hitting the X buzzer, declaring that the performance just didn’t sound good. Ouch!
But not all hope was lost for Sandoval since he had some backup from the other judges. Sofía Vergara called it a “shaky but entertaining” performance, and Mel B loved it so much she gave him a standing ovation. It seems Cowell may have been the villain of this story, but thankfully, the other judges showed him some love! Who knew that a former “Vanderpump Rules” star would be so polarizing on a talent show?
Sandoval is clearly trying to reshape his image after being labeled “the Most Hated Man in America,” but winning over Cowell might be a lost cause at this point. One must wonder—what does it take to impress a judge known for his brutal honesty? It’s a hard balance between chasing fame and finding musical success. What do you think—should reality stars step into the music scene, or stick to what they know best?
