It’s not every day you hear about someone being stabbed while they catch some sleep, but that’s exactly what happened in Westwood Village, Seattle. A 30-year-old man was attacked with a butcher knife in the early hours of Monday morning, and let’s just say his night took a turn for the worse. Authorities say he suffered severe lacerations, including injuries to his hands, upper chest, and leg. Next time you think about snoozing in public, maybe consider grabbing a coffee instead!
The Seattle Police Department and the Seattle Fire Department rushed to the scene to administer help, and you have to wonder how the victim felt waking up to such a nightmare. He’s currently in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center, but the real kicker? The attacker fled into the night, leaving a trail of questions. It seems like a scene out of a low-budget horror movie; who needs sleep when you can have adrenaline?
The police were quick to act, deploying a K9 unit and scouring the area for clues, but no luck in tracking the suspect down. They say the suspect made a run for it towards Roxhill Park and the Longfellow Creek Legacy Trail. So, what’s the moral of this story? Maybe don’t sleep in public places, especially where butchers roam. Just kidding—it’s a real wake-up call to stay vigilant out there!
What would you do if you were in a situation like this? Have you ever felt unsafe while trying to rest? It definitely makes you think twice about where you catch those Z’s!
