Both actresses were hit with six-month driving bans after getting caught speeding in separate incidents. Who knew that Hermione Granger and the beloved Madame Hooch had a need for speed?

Emma Watson’s magical misstep occurred when she was clocked driving 38 miles per hour in a 30-mile zone. Not exactly the kind of sorcery we expect from a Hogwarts graduate! Meanwhile, Zoe Wanamaker was sidelined for driving 46 miles per hour in a 40-mile zone. It seems even the best of us can misread the laws of man—no enchantments can save you from a traffic infraction!

Neither attended their court hearings, and each received a fine of just over £1,000. It’s safe to say that these Hollywood witches learned the hard way that the traffic laws in the Muggle world are as real as they come.
