Ready or not, western Washington, here comes the classic rainy weather we all know and love—plus a dash of thunderstorms! The National Weather Service is forecasting scattered rain showers this Wednesday, with stormy skies possible before 2 p.m. Just when you thought it was safe to put away your umbrella, the clouds are ready to put on a show. You might want to double-check your raincoat before heading out!
If that wasn’t enough, we’re also battling a bit of smoke from the Bear Gulch Fire. Clearly, Mother Nature has forgotten about the “less is more” concept. Mild to moderate smoke impacts are reported across much of the region, so even if the rain pours, it might feel a bit hazy. If you’re planning to go outside, you might want to check the air quality first—more fun than scrolling through your ex’s Instagram, right?
But let’s not fret in despair. As if the universe heard our dreary pleas, brighter days are on the way. By the weekend, we could see highs of up to 81 degrees, which is practically beach weather in our book! So, keep that sunscreen handy—because nothing screams summer quite like a bright sunny day right after a stormy week. What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods? Are you a friend of the rain, or do you prefer the sunshine?
