Layla Duran, a senior at Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy (FALA), revealed the meaning the school has had on herself and her advocacy as she will be part of the school’s final graduating class on May 22.
Duran has been a student at FALA since eighth grade, and was nervous when she first arrived because she had previously only attended bigger public schools as opposed to FALA’s more close-knit environment. After a few days of attending FALA, Duran found something she needed the most at the time: a family.
