After nearly 30 state team titles, numerous other individual athletic achievements and countless fields cleared of snow during her nearly 19 years on the job, Jeannine Brandel’s time as Flagstaff High School’s athletic department is coming to an end.
Brandel’s lengthy tenure as the head of the Eagles’ athletic department stabilized a role that had been a bit of a “revolving door” in her words before then-Flagstaff principal Tony Cullen pitched the idea of shifting into a role she had never really envisioned for herself in November 2007.
