Coconino County released a report on diversion programs in the local criminal justice system on Tuesday, June 23, and announced two upcoming workshops intended to help guide the future development of new or existing programs.
The county’s efforts are based on the Sequential Intercept Model, a nationally recognized framework for understanding how individuals interact with the criminal justice system and where interventions can help them avoid returning to the system.
