The Flagstaff City Council discussed the option of implementing an ordinance prohibiting landlords in the city from discriminating based on source of income during its meeting Tuesday, June 23.
After an hour and a half of discussion, the council asked staff to move forward with drafting an ordinance that would be brought back for further discussion, though multiple members noted it should be a lower priority than other housing efforts that are underway. The item ended with a request from City Manager Joanne Keene to have additional time to develop and analyze how an ordinance could impact staff.
