Burlington officially opens in Flagstaff at Varsity Shopping Center

Burlington recently celebrated its grand opening as it debuted its Flagstaff location in the Varsity Shopping Center along South Riordan Ranch Street.

In January, the company confirmed it planned to take over the space previously occupied by Joann following its closure last year due to the company’s bankruptcy. Burlington was first referenced as a potential tenant in May 2025 by FastCompany, which reported that 22 former Joann’s locations were identified as an opportunity for the company to expand its footprint around the U.S.
