Clouse sparks new energy in first offseason with Coconino football

A new era is beginning for Coconino High School football, one that many in the program did not expect when last season ended. With the spring practice session done and summer camps well underway, the Panthers are moving forward under first-year head coach Josh Clouse.

Hired in late March after a lengthy search, Clouse takes over after the program parted ways with Gary Cook following three winning seasons. Clouse will get a chance to lead his alma mater after 15 seasons of coaching at various levels across multiple sports. Many of the kids on the team for this upcoming season are more than familiar with him, but some are now seeing a different side of the Panthers lifer in his new role.
