Long before the sun casts its golden rays over Northern Arizona University’s campus, Cydnie Perkins is already in the pool, perfecting the art of swimming. While she is a fierce competitor in the Wall Aquatic Center, she has also mastered yet another art form: culinary arts.
By mid-afternoon, Perkins trades her swimsuit for a chef’s coat, creating delicious masterpieces. At first glance, the two worlds she inhabits, competitive swimming and high-level culinary arts, seem impossibly far apart.
