The Veale family’s blood runs strong in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Coconino girls soccer head coach Isaiah Veale coached and played at Oklahoma Wesleyan University about two decades ago. His daughter, former Coconino Panther Mia Veale, followed suit by committing to play for the university’s women’s soccer team in 2024.
The trend will continue with Maggie Veale. The senior midfielder/forward for the Panthers last season signed her letter of intent to join her sister at Oklahoma Wesleyan on May 13 at the Coconino High School auditorium. She shared her ceremony with Coconino football linebacker Gavin Moran, who committed to Division II Western Colorado.
