Rachel Entrekin has been deemed the queen of Cocodona ever since she set foot on the course in 2024. Now, she can rightfully claim the throne as the race’s overlord.
The Conifer, Colorado-based runner, originally from Alabama, made history on Wednesday afternoon when she crossed the finish line at Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff. She became the first woman to outright win the Cocodona 250, an ultra race from Black Canyon City to Flagstaff. Starting on Monday at 5 a.m., Entrekin defeated every man and woman in the race field and set the overall race record with a time of 56:09:48.
