Travel woes in the Grand Canyon Region take toll on student-athletes

From being stranded during a winter storm to striking a burro on the highway, Grand Canyon Region coaches and athletes face a travel grind unlike almost any other in the state.

Unique travel and schedules are the norm for coaches and athletes at the seven Grand Canyon Region schools scattered throughout northern Arizona. However, over time it can wear them down and take a toll on athletes and teams.
