US Forest Service announces additional fee‑free day on June 6

The U.S. Forest Service announced an additional recreation fee-free day for 2026, scheduled for June 6 in celebration of National Trails Day.

All standard amenity recreation sites on national forests and grasslands will be available at no cost. National Trails Day was established by the American Hiking Society in 1993 and occurs annually on the first Saturday in June.
