Work schedule changing for State Route 89A guardrail project on May 26

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced it will update its schedule for lane restrictions related to its ongoing guardrail replacement project along State Route 89A’s switchbacks on May 26.

Located at the north end of Oak Creek Canyon, the lane restrictions will be in effect 24 hours a day for Mondays to Thursdays and until noon on Fridays between Pine Flat Campground and the Oak Creek Vista scenic overlook (mileposts 387 to 390). Temporary traffic signals in the area will allow drivers to travel through the work zone in one direction at a time.
