The No. 12-ranked Flagstaff Eagles have had their fair share of blowout victories over the course of the season. This year’s iteration of Flagstaff baseball put together its most complete defensive showing on Tuesday at Eagle Field in a 2-0 victory over the No. 14 Prescott Badgers to grow its lead in the Grand Canyon Region standings.
A run in each of the final two innings for Flagstaff closed the door on a well-executed day. Junior pitcher Jace Adams matched his season-best of nine strikeouts in his complete-game shutout. The Arizona State commit allowed just three hits in his biggest outing yet.
