LOCAL ROUNDUP: Coconino names Tess Rhoton as new volleyball head coach

Coconino High School announced Tess Rhoton will be taking over as the Panthers’ varsity head coach, the school announced on Tuesday.

Rhoton has coached the school’s junior varsity team in recent years — including this past fall season as the Panthers went 11-6, according to the team’s schedule on AZPreps365 — as well as being an assistant coach for the varsity team. Rhoton takes over for Lacey Ebersole, who spent two seasons with Coconino as the Panthers went 5-12 this past fall and 9-8 overall during the 2024-25 season.
