The Jaquez family has a long history of basketball success in the western United States. Even beyond its championship pedigree at UCLA, the Jaquez clan can trace its basketball roots all the way back to Flagstaff.
Gabriela Jaquez secured the family’s biggest accomplishment yet: leading the way to the Bruins’ first-ever NCAA national championship last month in Phoenix. Her brother, UCLA March Madness legend and Miami Heat rising star Jaime Jaquez Jr., was one of many family members in attendance to watch her score a game-high 21 points and haul in 10 rebounds against South Carolina on April 5.
