Seattle’s Central District Fire: When Construction Meets Chaos!

Early Thursday morning, Seattle’s Central District turned into a scene out of a blockbuster action film when a fire broke out at a construction site and spread like wildfire to seven adjacent buildings. It all kicked off around 1:30 a.m., and within moments, more than 80 brave firefighters were on the scene. Thankfully, everyone evacuated safely, but one firefighter did sustain minor injuries. Talk about an unexpected wake-up call!

As firefighters rushed to the scene, they battled the flames while investigating the cause of this blaze that transformed a calm night into chaos. Seattle Fire Department’s Public Information Officer David Cuerpo shared their continued efforts to dig out hot spots and extinguish the flames. The crew will keep monitoring the situation throughout the morning, proving once again that Seattle’s firefighters work harder than a barista before the coffee rush!
