Blue Origin has taken its mission to new heights—literally! The company successfully launched its 34th New Shepard rocket on Sunday, carrying an exciting group of six passengers, including crypto billionaire Justin Sun. After an infamous $28 million bid for a seat on the very first crewed flight back in 2021, he’s finally got his chance to float around in space. But he wasn’t alone; his companions included a real estate investor, a Turkish businessman, a journalist, and more, making it a diverse crew for this short but thrilling ride.
As the rocket blasted off from Texas, they were sent soaring to approximately 62 miles above Earth, marking the boundary of space. Each passenger experienced a few moments of weightlessness, delightfully suspended in time—kind of like that moment when you’re about to go over the top on a roller coaster. While details of the ticket prices remain under wraps, it’s great to see space tourism becoming more inclusive. Perhaps someday, we’ll all get a chance to join the cosmic club!
What would you do if you had the opportunity to fly to space with a group of interesting strangers? Would you bond over zero-gravity snacks or form a mini space society? The possibilities are endless as our horizons expand—both literally and figuratively.
