Dean Cain is looking to trade in his cape for a badge, and he’s not shy about appealing to his Instagram followers to join the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. The former Superman wants to entice recruits with some pretty sweet perks—a $50,000 bonus and the chance to make a difference in law enforcement. Can you imagine? Cops with superhero ambitions? It’s like the Avengers, but with more paperwork and fewer intergalactic battles.
Meanwhile, Kristi Noem, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, just dropped the bombshell that the age cap for joining ICE is off the table. No cap, no problem, right? With over 80,000 applicants already jumping in, it’s clear that Cain’s comic book charm may just be the new recruiting tool they didn’t know they needed. Although, some have raised eyebrows, questioning whether joining ICE makes you any less of a hero or more of a criminal, depending on whom you ask.
What’s really wild are the reactions flooding in. While some wave their flags in support of Cain’s call to action, others seem ready to throw their kryptonite at him for being out of touch with the reality behind immigration policies. Seriously, is anyone surprised when a guy known for his super-strong opinions on social issues uses his platform to stir the pot? Ah, celebrity life!
So, what do you think? Is Cain’s recruitment initiative a clever idea or just a PR stunt? Do our favorite heroes really need to put on another uniform? Let’s get the conversation going!
