In a scene straight out of a heist movie, six masked suspects took a daring route to rob a cannabis store in West Seattle. Around 3:29 a.m. on Friday, they rammed a stolen gold Kia through the shop’s front door, leaving chaos and a shattered security gate in their wake. While one of the robbers played lookout, the others snatched items and took off in a different vehicle before police arrived. One might say they truly drove their luck to the limit!
This incident marks the second attempted smash-and-grab in the area within just 24 hours. Earlier that week, another cannabis shop faced a similar fate when thieves crashed a black Kia Sportage into the front entrance but, spoiler alert, didn’t end up stealing anything. It begs the question—are these robbers just terrible at planning or are they just fans of the dramatic entrance? Though the chaos caused is certainly no laughing matter, it does sound like a wild competition for the most adventurous getaway vehicle.
As police continue their investigation, we can’t help but wonder if the cannabis owner is considering enhancing security or perhaps marketing a new “drive-thru” feature! Seriously though, with all this going on, what’s the oddest method you’ve heard of for someone trying to steal something? Sound off in the comments!
