Federal court services in Flagstaff will expand next year once a new building on the city’s west side reaches completion.
G. Murray Snow, the senior U.S. District Judge for the District of Arizona, told the Arizona Daily Sun that the building will allow the court to empanel juries and conduct trials here, and should greatly reduce the need for residents of the northern part of the state to travel to Phoenix for civil or criminal proceedings.

The newly constructed federal courthouse on West Route 66 will also provide office space and a gym for deputies of the U.S. Marshals Service, whose responsibilities include fugitive apprehension and judicial protection.
